RCI Grade 10 students will have the amazing opportunity to participate in a Leadership Camp at Albion Hills Conservation Area starting Friday, December 15-December 17th. We look forward to hearing about all the amazing experiences they come back with especially their opportunities to make new friends and bond over leadership activities and events. A big Thank you to our Teacher supervisors and Teacher Volunteers who are assisting with the retreat!

We are getting into the Holiday Spirit! The RCI Me to We team brings RCI students an amazing opportunity to spread holiday cheer and the gift of giving by participating in a Holiday Cookie Challenge! This “Fun”draiser brings together RCI clubs to raise funds for underprivileged children providing school supplies, clothing, shoes, blankets and other necessities.
We look forward to seeing and tasting the cookies that are made!

On Saturday, December 9th, 2017 RCI was proud to host the First Lego League (FLL) Tournament! This will be the seventh year that Runnymede’s FIRST Robotics team (Team 1310) has run the FLL Tournament. This year, 33 teams from around the TDSB attended the tournament with about 250 students!
Fun fact: over 250,000 students in 88 countries participate!
And we are just thrilled to be apart of this amazing opportunity for our students!

It was an event to remember and RCI student performers, students, families and friends of the wider community were just beaming after experiencing the outstanding performances of the evening. We want to thank everyone who attended the evening and to the many students volunteers, staff supervisors who helped to support us throughout the evening. This evening was a success because of your dedication and commitment! Thank you! A very special shout out to Ms. Laura Landauer, Christine, The Super Kids and the 9th Toronto Brownies! What an honour it was to have you open our evening. We look forward to many more collaborations! The Arts Department is just thrilled by the turn out and outcome of the evening and look forward to many more successes in the Arts at Runnymede Collegiate Institute. This week marks Computer Sciences Education Week! (December 4th- 10th) The HOUR OF CODE enables students from all over the world the opportunity to engage in and try Computer Science for one-hour! Runnymede Collegiate Institute is thrilled to be host to a number of schools including Humbercrest PS, Annette PS, Rockcliffe MS, King George and High Park for an HOUR OF CODE!
